What is the difference between a Direct and Indirect Record
What is the difference between a Direct and Indirect Record
Updated over a week ago

A Record is a Booking Type that allows you to classify your Project in regards to the way Sessions are run.

Records are classed as either Direct or Indirect, depending on how Sessions are delivered. Here's an explanation of each term:

A Direct Record is one where you have a direct relationship with your Customers, and run the Sessions at a venue that you have booked or manage yourself. For example, a Coach who runs Sessions independently at a venue she has booked herself and not on behalf of a School or Organisation would classify the Booking Type of her Projects as Direct Records.

An Indirect Record is one where Sessions are run on behalf of a School or Organisation, usually taking place at the School or Organisation. For example, a Coach who has an agreement with a School to run weekly PE Sessions with their students would set the Booking Type of his Projects as Indirect Records.

When a Project is classified as an Indirect Booking Type, you will be prompted to select the School or Organisation that your Project is in conjunction with. In order for a School or Organisation to show up on this drop-down list, it must be set up as a School or Organisation in the Records area of the Application.

You can create a new Record by navigating to Records and then selecting Direct, School or Organisation.
