Media and Social Media Consent
Updated over a week ago

The consent types are getting an upgrade! We are making it even easier for you to safeguard your customers. Media Consent and Social Media Consent allow your customers to choose where any photos and videos of them are posted. Media Consent refers to the use of images or videos of them used online or in-print, while Social Media Consent gives customers the option of excluding any images or videos of them being used on social media channels.

So how does it work?

In Settings > Display > Customers > Participant Profile Fields, use the tickbox to turn the consent types on and, if necessary, mark them as a required field in the secondary column and press save. Don’t forget to turn off “Photo Consent” so you do not ask your customer the same question twice.

Just as “Photo Consent” does, the consent types will now appear in the booking form when the customer books their session as a simple drop down list either giving or denying their consent. If the consent types have been marked as a required field, the customer will not be able to move on unless an option in the drop down list has been chosen. Customers will be fully informed of what they are consenting to with a short description below each consent type.

Responses to the consent types can be viewed within the applicable register. Where customers have consented, the media or phone icon will appear in green, otherwise it will appear as red, letting coaches see the responses with a glance.
