Mozilla Firefox

  1. After opening the Mozilla Firefox browser, locate the button in the top right-hand corner of your internet browser with the three horizontal lines. Click on it to reveal the menu.

  1. Like some other browsers, if you’re logged into Google from other devices (your mobile phone or tablet, perhaps) you can also delete their history if the devices are synced together and logged in to the same account.. With Chrome, selecting Tabs from other devices enables you to manage that history.

  1. After clicking Clear browsing data from the History tab, you will have the option to choose Basic (easier to use) or Advanced (more options). In that box, you have the choice between browsing history, cookies, and more.

  2. The listing is simple and self-evident. It even includes defining if you'd like to clear your synced devices (other places where you may be logged into Google). As well as this, you can specify the time frame in which you'd like to clear your history.

  3. After selecting your options, click Clear data.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

  1. Like the other internet browsers, head to the top right-hand corner of the screen. Locate and click on the gear icon.

  2. You could choose to Preserve Favorites website data, located at the top of the box. This is useful if you want to clear out your browser files, but you don’t want to lose important data - your Favorites.

  3. If you choose to delete your Passwords (an option here), make sure you have them remembered or written down somewhere. Alternatively, don't tick this box to preserve them.

  1. In order to customize and specify how Internet Explorer handles history, cache, etc., gpo back to the gear icon in the top right of the browser. Select Internet Options from the pop-out menu.

  1. Here, you can click on Delete under Browsing History to erase your history. There are also Settings, plus the option to Delete browsing history on exit.

  2. All of this is automatically shown as it sits under the first tab, General.

  1. From the same window, you can click on the Content tab. From here, you can adjust the Settings for AutoComplete.

  2. Like cookies from websites, the AutoComplete data helps you when you’re browsing by finishing the web addresses you’re typing out. From here you can select to remove that information from your Internet Explorer data.

  1. Use the check boxes to choose specifically which AutoComplete data you would like to remove, then click OK.

  2. Before doing this, you may also Delete AutoComplete history, taking care of it all in one click.

Microsoft Edge

  2. From there you can choose any or all of the other five options. Or, you could leave them unticked and keep that data.

  3. Also, there is an option to have this data cleared automatically every time you close Microsoft Edge. To achieve this, click the Always clear this when I close the browser slider option.

  4. After selecting what you would like to clear, click the Clear button. Once everything has been cleared you’ll see a small 'All clear!' Message

  2. Here, you may click the Block all cookies box, which easily removes Safari's stored data and history. To specify which files are deleted, choose the Manage Website Data button.
