How does a customer pay off their outstanding balance?

If you are using Coordinate's credit feature, some customers may be in debt from some of their bookings. It's possible to collect outstanding balances both inside and outside of the Coordinate app.

How can a customer pay off their balance themselves?

Any customer that has an outstanding balance will be able to pay this off themselves by visiting your booking site. After a customer logs in, if they visit the 'Payments' tab in their account overview, they will see a button named 'Make Payment'. Clicking this button will allow the customer to decide which booking(s) they want to pay off.


The customer paid outside of the Coordinate app, how can I reflect this on their account?

If your customer has paid through another method such as in-person using a debit/credit card, by cheque or cash then you can pay off the outstanding balance on their account by making an internal payment.

Navigate to the customer's account and click on the 'Payments' tab. Select 'Create New' to create a payment. On this page, you will be able to select where the payment has come from, whether that's internal or from the customer. Next select the payment amount and type. You can also choose to associate it with a particular booking so this will be shown as paid off.
