The Two Factor Authentication feature allows better security over accounts by requiring users and customers to use their phones to log in to their accounts, ensuring the safety and protection of users in the application. This is done by having the mobile app generate a unique code which then needs to be entered with the password to log in to the app.
When a customer tries to log in, they will be greeted with the option of downloading an authenticator app or using SMS messaging for their Two Factor Authentication method. If they choose the authenticator app button, a QR code will appear instructing them to download an authenticator app. You could choose any authenticators that are shown on screen, such as Google, Microsoft or Authy, which you can click on to download on your mobile device.
Once the app is downloaded, and the QR code has been scanned, click continue. Then, enter the randomly generated code from the authenticator, as well as the password. When logged in, two factor authentication has been successfully set up.
If SMS is selected, the customer will be asked to enter their mobile number which will send a code to their phone to be entered to allow them to log in.
If a customer requires to update their authentication, they can do so by clicking on their name on the top right of the booking site and clicking on the profile field. Within this menu will be a button called "Update two factor authentication". Clicking this will bring the customer to the same QR code authentication set up as before.
If you are a staff user and want to reset your authenticator, click on your name on the top right of the app, and click on "Profile". On this page, is a button called "Update Two Factor Authentication". This will bring up a QR code, and you will go through the same method as before.
