How to use Session Check-in
Updated over a week ago

An alert appears 30 minutes before the start of a Session, indicating that you should Check-in before the Session begins.

You should only check in once (when you arrive at a Session location) and check out once (when you finish or leave a Session location).

Sometimes a Session location may not be related to individual sessions. For example: you may attend three individual Sessions which are in a row at the same location/postcode. If these Sessions take place less than one hour apart then they would be classed as just one Session location. In one Session location, you are only required to check in and check out once.

If you forget to Check-in within the threshold time (threshold time is set in 'Settings > Email & SMS' > Staff > Not Checked in Alert') which is set to 15 minutes by default, then you will receive an Email or SMS alert advising you to Check-in.

After you have clicked 'Check-in' at the Session location, you will see that an alert appears on your dashboard indicating that you will have to check out when your last Session at a location has ended.

If you forget to check out within the threshold time which is set to 15 minutes by default then you will receive an Email or SMS alert advising you to check out of the Session location. The 'Check-out' button will be removed from the dashboard if you do not check out after 10 minutes from when the threshold time has ended.

Managers and Administrators will also receive an alert when you haven't checked in or out of a session outside of the threshold time. When you click to Check-in or Out, others will be aware of your location and will know that you are in the right place at the right time. This will be important if your Organisation is using this functionality to provide additional support to lone workers.

Make sure you only Check-in or Out when you are at the session location to ensure that your reading is accurate.

If you attend two sessions or more in a row but there is more than an hour gap between each Session, then you will need to Check-in and Out of each Session separately.

You should always be able to Check-in or Out if you are using a device with GPS enabled and an internet connection. This includes Wireless or Mobile Data connection.
